Clove Spices offered by us can be availed in customised packaging. Made available throughout the year, cloves are known for their warm, sweet and aromatic taste. Known for their quality, this spice is widely used in making ginger bread, pumpkin pie, split pea & bean soups and baked beans, among others. • Cloves are the unopened pink flower buds of the evergreen clove tree
• The buds are picked by hand when they are pink and dried until they turn brown in colour
• Cloves are about ½ inch long and ¼ inch in diameter
• With their tapered stem, they resemble tiny nails
• English name is actually derived from the Latin word clavus, which means nail
• Cloves have a very hard exterior, and their flesh features an oily compound, which is essential to their nutrition and flavour
